Mel has just celebrated his birthday which is also the 12 year anniversary of being diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. So I wanted to share an update on this amazing man we have been following.
Mel has good days and bad days as he has seizures every day – sometimes many and sometimes few. However he still chooses to celebrate the 90%. Mel greatly appreciates the village that makes up friends and family who support him and his children through his cancer journey. He appreciates people’s visits, hugs and when they bring new foods for him to try! Every week Mel finds new opportunities to share his words of wisdom to help others. Just last week he helped a family in Brazil to make a communication board for their brother who is fighting the same cancer. Every day we have a choice of how to live our life no matter the challenges. Mel is a great example of someone who makes every day count!
