Rhonda: What have you personally done to stay focused on the positive during this past year that has helped you and would help others?
 
Two things. First, vigilant journaling. If I wake up feeling negative or low energy, I force myself to write out whatever is dragging me down. I free flow write until it’s all out. Only one or two things on the page actually need addressing today, which feels more achievable than the swirling cloud I woke up with. I close by writing something I’m grateful for.
 
The second positivity booster this year has been mentoring. I volunteered to mentor a few great young people and those connections have been professional highlights. Helping someone else find their way is instant joy!
