Celebrating International Friendship Day!

Hang out with people who make us feel good; people who bring out the best in us.

July 30 was International Friendship Day, and it means a great deal to me. In each of my books, the theme and importance of friendship are clearly evident. I thought this would be a fun opportunity to bring all those messages together into one post, to celebrate my friends.

Friendship is one of the greatest gifts of my life.

It’s true. The older I get, the more I value the people who stay; my chosen family, my soul family, my endless support system.

Look around at your friends. They reflect exactly where you are in your personal‑development journey. If you surround yourself with depleted, unhappy people, you don’t have to grow either. But if you spend time with people who lift you, encourage you, and celebrate your growth, you become more of who you’re meant to be.

I’ve become good at accepting that some people leave, and sometimes you need to leave too. Every number removed, every drifted connection, reminds me how grateful I am for the ones who remain. No matter what has happened in my life, my friends are always there. There is nothing I can’t talk to them about and nothing they haven’t helped me solve. I love the sound of laughter and friends laughing. I take a fully present moment to enjoy it every time.

Warm friendship hug
