Celebrating Those Who Serve and Support Us.
This month, we celebrate those unsung heroes who go above and beyond to make our
world a better place and help you get through your day. Those who make your coffee, clean for you, help you and your business, fix your car, book your travel, look after your mom, and teach and care for your children. Not only do they do their best to show up every day, but on occasion, they have to put up with negative people, and sometimes they do not get enough credit for what they do.
Why should we celebrate those who serve and support us?
They are the backbone of our communities, providing essential services, often working long hours under challenging conditions. Serving others often involves significant personal sacrifice. For example, healthcare workers and first responders often face challenging conditions to protect others.
How do we show our appreciation?
Easy. Express gratitude. A simple thank you can go a long way, and people feel valued. Celebrating those who serve and support us builds a culture of gratitude, which can inspire others to contribute and serve, creating a ripple effect of kindness. It is time we share more positives. I am tired of negative people whining. I travel a lot, and I can see a negative traveller's impact on an industry worker who is just doing their best to provide great service.
I have a lot of respect for employers who hire speakers like me to recognize and celebrate the front-line people. Celebrating those who serve and support us is not just about recognition but building a stronger, more compassionate community. By acknowledging their contributions and expressing our gratitude, we honour their dedication and inspire a culture of kindness and appreciation.
I am going to challenge you to reach out and tell the people who support and serve YOU that you are grateful for them. They are some of the hardest-working people in the world, and I think we take them for granted. Let's take a moment to thank these everyday heroes who improve our lives in countless ways.
Hugs
